An internal video posted on the CERN Web site this morning (3) and later taken down revealed that researchers working at the Large Hadron Collider are looking at a new particle in their studies, according to a project spokesman.

The information seems to anticipate a big announcement, which is scheduled for tomorrow. "When we say that we have observed a particle, it just means that we have enough data to say that it is definitely there and it is very unlikely to go away, " Joe Incandela said.

Moreover, it is known so far that it is a boson because it decays into two photons. Its mass is about 130 times larger than a proton, making it the heaviest boson ever discovered. Strong evidence has also been raised due to the decomposition into two Z particles.

“We are very excited about the new discovery, ” said Incandela. "I may not be showing so much euphoria, but at the moment I'm so tired that I don't look as enthusiastic as I should, " he added, pointing out that this is a great discovery for science.
