The images below are from photographer Alexander Safonov, who lives in Hong Kong. Although he worked as a software engineer, he obtained a diving license in 2002 and, starting in 2004, began experimenting with underwater photography.

Safonov often travels a lot, and as much as he has visited places such as the Galapagos Islands and Raja Ampat, he confesses that his favorite destination remains South Africa's annual sardine migration. The reason is simple: huge shoals of this type of fish constantly being attacked by sharks and dolphins.

This real fish cyclone is scary because of its size. But judging by Aburto's proximity to the animals, it seems a bit harmless.
