Being overweight can bring a number of problems to people's health, but animals also suffer from it. Last week a cat named Symba was rescued in the United States weighing no less than 15 kg! The NGO Humane Society team posted the big guy's photo on Twitter and they were the biggest hit.

The NGO began a campaign to find more responsible owners for the small 6-year-old Symba, who also needed to go on a strict diet and start a lot of exercise to get rid of the fat. This is a job that requires a lot of patience, since I the big cat gets out of breath in a few seconds.

The big piglet needs to lose almost half its weight to be within a more acceptable range for its physical structure and age. Fortunately, he already has a new family who adopted him after seeing the pictures on the internet. A commitment has been signed for Symba to see a vet regularly and continue the diet at home - this includes small portions that are only accessible after the pussy has resolved some form of exercise.
