NASA releases images of unprecedented solar flare

NASA published on its Flickr (NASA Goddart) images of the latest solar flare, recorded by space agency telescopes. The look of what was photographed is simply stunning, out of step with the "normal things" we are used to seeing in the real world.

However, according to a statement displayed on the space agency's own Flickr, it was fortunate that the long filament resulting from the explosion did not come to Earth. Even so, the material produced some effects on terrestrial communications, as well as providing a kind of dawn, which appeared on the night of September 3.

The eruption happened last August 31st, and you can check out the images in the gallery below.
