If you're the type who loves a little wine at night, after a long day at work, get ready for the news: now Jesus Christ's favorite drink can also be found in the blue color. Red, white and rosé are apparently past colors.

Thanks to Spanish startup Gik, the world's first blue wine has been launched, and the manufacturer says: the idea is to really get it all and win the 21st century drinkers. The main appeal? Besides the drink being tasty, its coloration is undeniably attractive and has psychological representations.

The drink was made together with researchers from the University of the Basque Country, and the grapes used are white and red, all produced in Spanish vineyards. You might be wondering where the blue color comes from, right? For know that it is from a substance extracted from the grape's own skin, anthocyanin. In addition to it, there is an indigo dye added to the drink.

On the product website, the use of blue color is explained by being the psychological representation of “fluidity and change”, besides giving the idea of ​​movement and constant innovation. Visually speaking, there is no denying it: this blue wine is really attractive. The bad news for us mere Brazilian mortals is that the product will initially be marketed only in the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands and Germany.
