The bizarre and mysterious murder of Blair Adams

Certain cases seem to have come straight from a Hollywood script - or perhaps, many scripts have been inspired by such cases. If we look deeply, we will see that around the world there are thousands of cases of murder that make no sense and have become mysteries.

One of these was the 31-year-old Canadian Blair Adams. He was one of those cool, hardworking guys that everyone likes; the kind of guy who always sees the glass half full.

Suddenly he started to get very anxious, a little cranky, until finally he said that someone was trying to kill him. As usual, most people didn't believe what the boy was saying, and he came to be seen as a paranoid guy - which didn't stop him from being murdered.

The scape

On July 5, 1996, he went to the bank and withdrew everything he had, both cash and belongings. It was around $ 6, 000, plus a few thousand in jewelry and the like.

While trying to cross from Canada to the US, he was barred by the border patrol and had to go around; that large amount aroused the distrust of police officers about a possible drug relationship.

Unsuccessful in his departure from the country, Blair was quite upset at a friend's house, asking for transportation to the border and help entering the United States because someone wanted to kill him. Did not get this help and left soon after.

The following Tuesday, he rented a car at the airport and this time made the crossing; From there he went straight to Seattle Airport, where he took a flight to Washington, DC. When he landed on July 9, he got another vehicle and drove to the state of Tennessee.

Last destination

In the early evening he stopped at a gas station with car trouble. Soon the clerk discovered that the key used by Blair was the wrong one, and that the business owner would have to go there to get it right. The vehicle was towed to the nearest motel until the Canadian could proceed.

The receptionist described him as paranoid, agitated, and nervous and said he came in and out of the motel lobby five times within the 1 hour period, repeatedly looking over his shoulder. It was as if she believed someone would arrive at any moment.

The murder

Blair was found the next morning, in a parking lot less than a kilometer from the hotel, in the strangest circumstances possible. His shirt was torn; he had no trousers, socks inside out, and near his body was money in Canadian, American, and German currency, not to mention a purse with gold and jewelry.

What about the car key that made it stop at the gas station in the first place? It was there, on the floor, close to him. He was well bruised, cut and bruised, but what killed him was a blow to the belly that broke his stomach.

This crime to this day makes no sense to the police or family members. It was not simple paranoia; after all, he was murdered. It wasn't a theft that went wrong or a drug deal; there was a lot of money there. Apparently there was no personal motive, or at least none that stood out enough to come to anyone's knowledge and to the point of being serious enough that one was persecuted from one country to another and then mysteriously killed. . What would it mean to turn the socks inside out?

Blair took to the grave what happened that night, and because of the bizarre case, no one has a clue where to start looking for a culprit.
