What would change in your life if, for 1 month, you took only water?

The Independent has recently worked out a list of changes that a person undergoes by drinking only water and dispensing other types of beverages. Chris Bailey, who ended up cutting out all the other diet fluids for an entire month, ended up making some incredible discoveries. Here's what he learned from this experience:

1 - Drinking only water makes you consume fewer calories

You don't even notice, but other drinks consumed throughout the day, like that sweet tea, latte, and, of course, soda, are full of calories. Water, on the other hand, is free of water and, to improve it, makes your body much more hydrated and healthy.

2 - Drinking water makes your appetite not so great

Sometimes our body confuses thirst with hunger, as we easily ignore its need to stay hydrated and do not always consume the ideal amount of water. Drinking several times a day makes you eat less after all.

3 - The brain works better

The thing is really logical here: if your brain is made up of up to 85% water, maintaining good hydration is critical for your thinking organ to work efficiently. Drinking water improves concentration and increases energy levels. It does not hurt to try.

4 - It's cheaper

In times of crisis, it is worth putting everything at the tip of the pencil. If you consume less coffee, teas, juices and sodas, you end up spending less too. The pocket thanks.

5 - The skin gets healthier

If you have pimples and are struggling to get rid of them, a good tip is to drink plenty of water as this is an efficient way to keep your skin hydrated, silky, clean and without residue.

6 - Even the gut works better!

Water works miracles in your body, and if you combine your intake of this holy fluid with fiber-rich foods, your bowel function will be more efficient, which is great for those who have constipation. Drinking lots of water will increase the amount of urine you produce too, but that's no problem, even because your pee needs to be as clear as possible.

7 - Your metabolism is clinking

This is a gold tip: Drinking water as soon as you wake up makes metabolism work better throughout the day - in numerical terms, drinking half a liter early increases energy movement by both men and women by 30%.

8 - Your heart thanks

When we are dehydrated, the blood becomes more consistent, so the heart suffers harder to work, which is not a good thing. Drinking more than five glasses of water a day decreases your chances of having a heart attack by up to 41% compared to those who consume only two glasses a day.

9 - Drinking water improves your gym performance

Avoid doing physical activities as much as possible without your body being hydrated enough, please. Drinking water greatly improves your performance when working out.
