The 30 Movies of 2014 You'll Want to See in Theaters

The year 2013 is coming to an end and although we are still looking forward to the release of some productions this year, it is time to think about what lies ahead in 2014. As always, Hollywood always has a huge list of new releases. .

We separated in this list the 30 main productions that should land in Brazilian theaters next year. It is worth remembering that, recently, some films have been postponed to 2015 and, as such, are not included in this preview. Release dates have been released by distributors and are subject to change.

1) The Girl Who Stole Books

Only in Brazil the work “The Girl Who Stole Books” sold more than one million copies. Worldwide success, Markus Zusak's book has been adapted for film and this will be the first major premiere of 2014. The plot revolves around a girl who was abandoned by her mother during World War II and adopted by a couple of Germans, learn to read and discover the fascinating world of books.

2) A Lego Adventure

Who could have imagined that Lego's little pieces would become so successful these days? After succeeding with kids in the gaming world, it's time for the little pieces to come to life in the cinema through an animated movie. In the plot, Emmet, an ordinary doll, must face a dangerous villain who plans to glue all the pieces in the universe.

3) RoboCop

One of the 80s adventure movie classics, “RoboCop” is back in theaters now with a more modern look. The director is the Brazilian José Padilha, responsible for the success "Tropa de Elite". The film is set in Detroit in 2028, when police officer Murphy is resurrected thanks to robotic science, becoming an efficient police robot.

4) The Wolf of Wall Street

The main attraction of the movie “Saving Mr. Banks” - which has no title in Portuguese yet - is Tom Hanks playing Walt Disney, the creator of one of the greatest empires in movie history. 8) Sin City: A Dame To Kill For

Sequel to the acclaimed movie "Sin City: The City of Sin", released in 2005, "Sin City: A Dame To Kill For", still unofficial in Portuguese, is based on three stories by Frank Miller. As one of them has been told in the cinema, the expectation is that the film will focus on the other two, but specific details of the plot have not been released by the studio.

The animation “Rio”, directed by the Brazilian Carlos Saldanha, was a big hit in theaters with the adventures of the Blue Macaw Blu and his companion Jade in Rio de Janeiro.
