Leonardo Ferreira Soares told the G1 that he decided to make the nozzle just to collect a little money to make the fair for the house and to buy a gas canister. Unemployed since returning from Sao Paulo to Montes Claros, Soares lives with his wife in a rented shed for $ 350 a month and has difficulty finding a steady job.

When he saw that the inspectors would seize his merchandise, Soares decided to distribute them among the people who followed the approach. But the population was outraged by the action of the inspectors and decided to make a joint effort to buy all the juices and salty that the street vendor was selling. The result: Within minutes, there was no merchandise left to be seized, and Soares was able to raise the money he needed for his basic needs. The street vendor was not authorized by the city government to market the products at Doctor Carlos Square, in the central region of the city, so the inspectors called the police to seize the goods.
