Stepping into the web-surf wave recently, Mortal Kombat fans petitioned Scooby-Doo's Sausage to be a DLC character from the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11, which arrives in April.

For those who have missed the meme, the internet wants to make Sausage an extremely powerful character who can match other deities in the geeky media, which has spawned a number of funny internet images. And as a powerful character, fans want Sausage to be in Mortal Kombat 11.

By the time this article is published, the petition to make Sausage a Mortal Kombat character is close to 50, 000 signatures, a very high number. Since most of the requests come from the meme-shuffle, it's hard to take seriously. Certainly, Mortal Kombat's violent tone is quite incompatible with Sausage, but it's funny to see the petition gain strength.

Mortal Kombat 11 will arrive on April 23 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, while the Switch version will arrive on May 10.
