Epic! 7 Too Much and 3 Not So Much Infinite Warfare - NO SPOILERS

This has never happened in the history of cinema. Ten years of a plot in a shared universe, with the same actors who took over their characters in 18 films. This kind of interaction only happened in comics. And behold, the sister language of Ninth Art tried to transform what was a dream of thousands of people who grew up with modern mythology - the superheroes - into reality. This is the biggest superhero movie of all time. I will highlight seven cool things and three… more or less. To say further would be to spoil the experience.

First of all, just one thing: everything is epic and intense. And very little that everyone predicted came true. The surprises are big. Get ready.

Dark

Yes, this is the darkest movie in Marvel Studios. From the outset, none of the heroes, while not knowing exactly who he was or the extent of Thanos's power, had any doubts that this was really the biggest challenge the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has ever presented. Even the color filters are darker.

Humor

Despite the dark tone that surrounds the entire film, the traditional Marvel Comics / Studios humor is still present, especially with the Guardians of the Galaxy - and in Drax's striking presence. But the smiles here are more "nervous".

Action

The special effects are great, and the Russian brothers know how to coordinate storytelling with each character - there are action sequences reminiscent of John Byrne's best moments, with Jim Starlin's grandeur and Brian Bendis' dialogues. It is so much trouble that there will even be people saying that they got tired a little.

Villains

Marvel Studios' villains have never been so prominent or so complex. But this time they are very present and more dangerous than ever. There's not that storytelling thing with a hero trapped in a car seat. Antagonists, as they may be, really believe they are doing what they think is right for the universe - just like heroes.

Cry

Whether it is joy or sadness, perhaps both, you will come across situations that will make your eyes sweat. The apex works like a kebab in the soul of everyone who once smiled reading a Marvel Comics comic. The end is heartbreaking.

Surprises

Do you know those projections I made last week? Thanks to Jaga that almost none of that happens. That's why everyone involved was keeping such a secret. Nothing is so Shyamalan, but everything that unfolds, despite a few predictable moments, doesn't come close to what you expect.

Thanos

Look, I saw "Return of the Jedi" in the movies, and "Star Wars" also changed my life. Maybe I'm whipped for it, but you can tell Thanos is amazing enough to leave Darth Vader crying in the corner. It's the villain we were all waiting for at Marvel Studios. He knows how to use the Infinity Gauntlet. And what he does in the end is to disgrace anyone's head.

Now, let's go to three things… that may bother you:

Anticlimax

Although the tones of each production have been respected, especially in the beginning, several of the narratives have a somewhat different timing ... unlike all the films presented by Marvel Studios so far. It may be that the sequences are a bit disconnected for most of the audience.

For the fans

It doesn't have much explanation for heroes' motivations or what they are primarily about. The Russians started from the idea that everyone saw at least the core of what Thanos's quest is and what each character already featured in other feature films thinks or represents. It's a love letter for MCU and Marvel Comics fans. That is, who does not follow these universes will not understand much.

avengers

Soundtrack

It is very difficult to edit and create sounds from tones that each adventure has brought so far in Marvel Studios. Although the Avengers signature is present, many of the dramatic moments suffered from a mix that sounded like every corner of the MCU, but at the same time didn't exactly value the most sentimental sequences. Some characters who were in the background - and unexpectedly gained more upholstery - were left without that unforgettable track. Nothing to spoil the experience, but could be better.

*********

That said, there is canon expansion, dynamics that worked and an ending that drives everyone crazy to see the sequence. And yes, there is a post-credit scene that delivers something special. But only this. The bad news is that we will have to wait until next year. The good thing is that it looks like the best is yet to come - even after this sensational adventure. Watch and say what you think too. Only, right, no spoilers.
