Pizza, oysters, seaweed: meet beers with flavors more than weird

Surely you may have seen chocolate-flavored beers and even some fruit on specialty store shelves. Now what you will see in this relationship is far beyond what we can imagine.

The Mashable site has put together some of the weirdest beers on the market on a list that challenges even the bravest to taste beyond-ordinary flavors. Among the ingredients are the most varied spices, seaweed, exotic fruits and especially pieces of meat that is not anyone who eats to eat.

1) Guacamole

  • Beer : Avocado Ale;
  • Brewery : Angel City Brewery;
  • Special ingredients : avocado, cilantro, garlic and lime;
  • Curiosity : The label was created exclusively for the Avocado Festival, but the company had previously ventured into exotic flavors when it created a pickle-flavored beer.

2) Oysters

  • Beer : Oyster Stout ;;
  • Brewery : 21st Amendment Brewery;
  • Special Ingredient : Freshwater oysters from Hog Island in the San Francisco region of the United States;
  • Fun fact : Beer was created in 2012 through a partnership with Hog Island Oyster Company. The drink has a slight salty taste as its main feature.

3) Curry

  • Beer : Coconut Curry Hefeweizen;
  • Brewery : New Belgium Brewing;
  • Special ingredients : curry, coconut, cayenne, cinnamon, coriander, fenugreek, ginger, lemon and banana leaves;
  • Curiosity : The label is part of the “Lips of Faith” beer line, which invests in the combination of bold fruit and spice flavors and aromas to develop the beers.

4) Ox testicles

  • Beer : Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout;
  • Brewery : Wynkoop Brewing Company;
  • Special ingredient : fresh, toasted and minced beef testicles;
  • Fun fact : Thinking about making a big lie for April 1st, the brewery team made the video above. Some understood the joke and thought that beer with ox testicles might work, and those who believed the story wanted to prove the news. After the success of the video, the brewery really decided to create the drink.

5) Spirulina

  • Beer : Spirulina Wit Beer;
  • Brewery : Free Tail Brewing Co .;
  • Special ingredient : spirulina, a bacterium rich in nutrients and vitamins;
  • Curiosity : Because it has a greenish color, the special ingredient makes the drink equally green.

6) Algae

  • Beer : Kelpie Seaweed Ale;
  • Brewery : Williams Bros Brew;
  • Special ingredient : barnacle or sea bean, a seaweed found in the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans;
  • Curiosity : The brewery decided to add this ingredient to recreate the flavor of the beers that were produced off the coast of Scotland around 1850. The drinks were made from malt, which was planted in fields fertilized with seaweed and thus gained aroma. and taste differentiated.

7) Bacon

  • Special Ingredient : Smoked bacon and maple syrup (also known as maple syrup );
  • Fun fact : The beer was born from a collaboration of Rogue Ale with Voodoo Donuts and the beer flavor was inspired by one of the chain's best selling donuts.

8) Pizza

  • Special ingredient : basil, oregano, tomato, garlic and pizza dough;
  • Curiosity : this mixture that resembles the most marguerita pizza won the award for “First Culinary Beer in the World”.
