A trio of youtubers were trying to record a prank in the city of Rolândia, in northern Paraná, on Tuesday (28) and were approached by police after residents of the region reported “three armed men riding a motorcycle” in the Cidade Jardim Verde neighborhood, place with a history of home theft.

Police approached the group - two men of 22 and another of 20 - responding to the call recorded by the population. Ana Maria da Silva Delai, from the 15th battalion of the PM of Paraná, said it was a kind of anecdote with the price of gasoline in the region. “They explained that what they were doing there was a trick question. They were going to record a video for a channel they have on YouTube. They wanted to make an association with the high cost of fuel, ”the lieutenant explained to G1 .

The youtubers revealed that they intended to record a video in which a thief would pretend to be interested in stealing a motorcycle while actually taking a gallon of gas instead of the vehicle.

As they did not commit any kind of crime, they were not arrested. The two bikes used to record the video, however, were learned by documentary irregularities. Both were taken to Detran and should be released as soon as they are regularized.

Police did not disclose who youtubers were or what channel they intended to record the video. We also do not know if the trio gave up the recording or found another were to do so.
