British police find largest secret stockpile of illegal weapons

An arsenal of more than 400 firearms, including assault rifles and machine guns, was found by British police at the residence of a 49-year-old man who served as chairman of the Suffolk parish council in the United Kingdom. Gun owner James Arnold died of cancer in 2014, but now they could lead to the arrest of another senior in the area.

Although Anthony Buckland, 65, claims to have provided only legal weapons and ammunition to Arnold for a period of 25 years, he is being charged in court for selling illegal weapons and misrepresentation fraud. According to prosecutor Andrew Oliver, the finding is "the largest hidden arsenal of weapons the country has ever witnessed."

The guns were found when, searching inside the residence, police found a secret room that could be accessed through a door in the kitchen. For now, Buckland denies any illicit business and pleads not guilty to 20 sales charges against Arnold and other customers. "There is no relationship with me because I have never provided anything illegal to Arnold, " the accused says.
