What are the new companies that will help NASA get to the moon again?

One of NASA's main goals today is to return to the moon. US President Donald Trump himself supports the venture, and now it is time to put together every possible effort to return to visit our natural satellite.

These companies may offer to transport scientific and technological cargo to NASA.

This includes new partnerships from private companies that will provide everything the US space agency needs to reach our neighbor. There will be nine new companies from different states that will work with NASA on future missions to the moon: Pittsburgh's Astrobotic Technology; Deep Space Systems of Colorado; Draper from Massachusetts; Firefly Aerospace of Texas; Intuitive Machines of Houston; Lockheed Martin Space of Colorado; Masten Space Systems of California; Moon Express from Florida; and Orbit Beyond of New Jersey.

These companies may offer to transport scientific and technological cargo to NASA, including integration and payload operations, which will launch from Earth and land on the moon's surface. NASA sees itself as one of many customers that will use these commercial launch and landing services.

"Today's announcement marks tangible progress in the US return to the moon's surface, " said NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine. "The innovation of US aerospace companies, along with our big goals in science and human exploration, will help us achieve amazing things on the moon and get us to Mars."

This new space race must be exciting - and not as dangerous as the Cold War era: China, Japan and Israel are also working on missions aimed at the moon.
