What does the 1.5 billion year old water taste scientists find?

About a month ago, scientists discovered an amount of water preserved 1.5 billion years ago in Canada. The water, apparently, has been in a rock all this time and has since been studied and rumbled around the world.

So far, so good, another cool scientific breakthrough that can help researchers from all corners unravel some of the many mysteries about life on the planet, right? However, one of the most frequently asked questions about such old water is its appearance and consistency.

According to researcher Dr. Barbara Sherwood Lollar, in an interview published in the LA Times, the water looks more pasty and orange when exposed to air. Another feature is the taste of this creamy soup, as Barbara had the courage to try this expired substance over 1 billion years ago. There is courage!

According to her, the taste is horrible and much saltier than that of seawater. As if it was not enough to declare that she tried the orange slime, Barbara said she did it more than once. So, would you dare to taste this historic gororoba?
