How about changing the color of your car with some ice water?

When hearing about color-changing cars, most people probably remember only Hot Wheels products. However, the effect is not limited to toy cars only. In the video below, for example, you can see a real R33 Nissan Skyline S2 with the same “magical” property as the strollers.

To guarantee the effect, the British Auto Kandy workshop applied heat-sensitive thermochromic paint to the car. Thus, while at room temperature the car stands out with a very vivid orange color, a little bit of ice water is enough to make your bodywork turn a very dark shade of purple. Now you can't complain about being sick of the color of your vehicle.

How much does the joke cost?

After the workshop posted the video of its "chameleon" Nissan Skyline on the internet, the workshop posted some information on its website for those interested in adding the effect to their vehicles. To begin with, you need to know that the investment is salty, since the liter of special paint costs £ 199.99 (approximately $ 700 at current quote). According to Auto Kandy, the Nissan Skyline required about 7 liters of paint, resulting in a cost of $ 4, 900. In addition, as the product is imported, import and delivery charges would also apply here in Brazil.

If price is not a problem for you, it is also important to consider that the effect life is between four and six months. At the same time, ultraviolet radiation from sunlight also alters the quality of the effect over time, and it is highly recommended to purchase protective additives to avoid this problem.
