In July 2012, the Briton named David Guy was murdered and his body dismembered. Without much clue, the investigation eventually found eight cat hairs on the curtain that wrapped around Guy's torso. 4. Never brag about a crime

In October 1979, 22-year-old Susan Schwarz was killed at home. The cops could not find any clues, which made the case rock the shoes of Seattle officials. In 2008, a deck of unresolved crime information was produced and distributed in different places, with requests for those who could help.

Susan's story was there, and her killer was already arrested, but for another crime. In 2011, his cellmate arrested him, prompting investigators to solve the case more than 30 years later: Susan was friends with her tormentor's girlfriend and gave advice on ending the abusive relationship.
