Pirates of the Caribbean franchise's fifth movie will only premiere in 2017!

Jack Sparrow's fifth big-screen adventure had a new debut date announced by Disney, the franchise owner: July 7, 2017.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, that is, "the dead tell no stories" (still the original title of the new movie) had already been postponed from 2015 to 2016, as attraction directors Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg wanted to work on Jeff Nathanson's script.

According to Collider, producer Jerry Bruckheimer has revealed that the idea is to return to the "pirate movie, " that is, back to what we saw in the first movie in the series. However, no further details about the production or narrative have been revealed, except that Johnny Depp will play Captain Sparrow again.

As soon as new information about the movie is released, we'll post it here.
