'Photographers' satellites capture amazing images of our planet
Our planet has thousands of satellites in orbit monitoring various aspects, including issues related to the environment, safety, weather and so on. But even though they are watching us for very unnatural reasons, we often come across simply amazing images.
So DigitalGlobe, one of the world's leading satellite imagery companies, has created a kind of contest in which the public decides what was the best image captured in 2012. The competition is already in the deciding stage among the five finalists, and you can participate through the company's Facebook page.
