False nails: do you know the difference?

Long nails, beautiful and resistant. This is the dream of almost every woman who loves taking care of her hands and having them always made. However, the obstacles to getting there naturally are many. They may be weak, or you may have that unhealthy habit of chewing them. The truth is that achieving this goal is easier than you might think.

No matter what type of nail you have, you can make them look better and stronger without going through long treatments. It's been a while since the famous fake nails have been on the market to save the hands of embattled Brazilians. And as the hand care market keeps growing, the materials for creating false nails are incredibly varied.

With this, most women who decide to artificially stretch their nails are in doubt when choosing the best type. The benefits are very close and reconciling price with durability can be hard work. Still, it is not that complicated to know which type of false nail is the most suitable.

There are three options for lengthening your nails without weakening them: porcelain, silicone (gel) and temporary hairpieces. The difference between them is in the type of application, material durability and the effect when done. As you may be tired of knowing, the idea is to make your nails look like yours without any interference from the manicure other than nail polish.

See now the main features of each of the false nails:

Porcelain nails

Made in an almost handcrafted process, porcelain nails are hand sanded to fit your hands comfortably. Sturdy, they last a long time after sticking to their natural nails and still look quite beautiful. Caring for them is not at all difficult.

After 20 days of application you need to return to the manicure to maintain your false nails. If you keep up the pace, porcelain can last up to three months in your hands. Another advantage of this material is the possibility of creating a good nail art surface.

Acrilfix nails are an interesting alternative for anyone considering putting on nails of durability similar to porcelain. In addition to the lower price, the smell during application is weaker as the material does not have a monomer in its composition.

Silicone nails

Also known as gel nails, they are perfect for those who want to leave their hands very natural. Even without enamel the result of this type of application is quite beautiful. Another advantage of silicone is the protective factor it offers to the original layer. So if you have weak nails, this is a very interesting solution.

However, this type of fake nail is the one that takes the longest to put on. First, apply the gel to your natural nails - or just the tips - and then be exposed to ultraviolet lights, which is responsible for fixing. This whole process takes approximately two hours. The duration of silicone nails (or gel) is 3 months and, like porcelain, needs maintenance every 20 days.

Slightly stronger than ordinary silicone nails, those made of acrigel have almost the same strength as porcelain nails. This type is almost a hybrid of both materials and lasts about the same time as previous models.

Temporary nails

Ideal for those who need a quick nail solution but don't want to stay with them for months, the temporary ones do the job well. However, this type of false nail needs to be very carefully applied, as it is glued directly to the natural nail. Therefore it is not recommended to keep them for more than two weeks.

The bottom layer is without "breathing" and loses strength, becoming quite brittle. This type is suitable for those who need to attend an event but are not satisfied with the current length of natural nails. The application is quick, as the manicure will shape them to the perfect shape and size for your hands.

And then? Have you decided which type of nail will make your hand more beautiful?
