See the conspiracy theories still circulating about Lady Di's death

The son of Kate Middleton and Prince William was born a few days ago and we already see a lot of news about this moment celebrated everywhere. However, the sad episode of Princess Diana's death has not been forgotten by the English and many people around the world, as some speculation revolves around this hazy case to this day.

The car accident that killed Lady Di occurred in August 1997 in Paris. Princess Diana was divorced from Prince Charles at the time of the crash, after all the scandals that involved both Camila Parker-Bowles. During a paparazzi chase in the tunnels of the French capital, the car collided with a pillar and instantly killed Dodi Al-Fayed, Lady Di's fellow billionaire, and car driver Henry Paul.

Princess Diana was taken to the Pitié-Salpétrière Hospital, where she died a few hours after cardiac arrest. Only Al-Fayed's bodyguard survived the disaster. Check out some of the theories that cover other explanations for the accident that may not have been just a photographer's pursuit:

1 - The culprits are not the paparazzi

From the moment Diana was announced as Prince Charles's wife, countless photographers had been after her to know every detail of the future Queen's life. And the blame for her death was blamed on the paparazzi, since they didn't leave her for a moment.

This assumption cannot really be considered one of the theories, since it was the version accepted by the press. However, even though the pursuit of high-speed cars is unsafe, results from driver Henry Paul's autopsy revealed large amounts of alcohol in his blood - transferring the blame for the accident to the deceased driver. After the exams, the photographers were released from guilt.

2 - The Royal Family is guilty

Although tests on Paul showed blood alcohol and photographers recklessly chasing the royal car, other culprits have emerged - such as the British nobility's own family members assisted by the country's intelligence service.

One of the reasons why the British royals might wish for this premeditated murder was that Lady Di could marry the Egyptian Al-Fayed, a Muslim, shaking relations with the throne of England - as he would become the stepfather of the Princes. William and Harry, the heirs to the throne. In addition, their future sons would be brothers of the nobility. The union between them could cause turbulence between England's relations with the Western powers, weakening the power of the British country.

Al-Fayed's Muslim Enemies Are to Blame

In this not-so-popular version of events, the real target of the "tragic accident" was Al-Fayed. The reason: revenge on the enemies of the Muslim billionaire. Diana being there was occasional, but it helped to obscure the clues to the origin of these killers.

It is only natural to think that Dodi has gotten some disaffection over the years because of his business and his fortune, but these enemies have never been found or investigated - as all attention has fallen on Diana.

4 - They are alive

One of the strangest theories that has ever circulated is that both Diana and Dodi Al-Fayed are alive - and that the accident was a calculated plan for them, especially her, to escape the limelight and live another life. If this is true, the bodies found and buried would be those of others, as well as the examinations performed - which sounds rather unlikely.

5 - Eternal Investigations

It is hard to imagine that any of these theories are true and that the sad episode was not just a fatality. But many people do not accept the fact that the case is “just” an accident, like Dodi Al-Fayed's own father. Much investigation has been done to determine the causes of the crash, but they only revealed that it was a misfortune.

Al-Fayed's security guard was the only survivor and said several times that he had no clear memories of the moment of the collision, contributing little to the investigations. Millions of people watched Lady Di's funeral on television - a shock to many people. With all the speculation circulating, it is easy to say that this case is not entirely solved for many. And for you, do any of these theories make any sense?
