Also known as mint green, mint green is the color that comes directly from the catwalks and streets of major cities to color and brighten the Brazilian winter. The tone - which is part of the candy colors chart - comes in both small production details and complete pieces to brighten winter costumes.

Fresh and light, the color allows a large number of combinations. And, like every trend, it is not always easy to buy a piece and get it out right away. So you can enjoy the wave of mint green and make your winter even more elegant, TodaEla spoke with image consultant Alana Rodrigues Alves, who gives tips on how to assemble different styles and enjoy the best of the trend.

But what color is this?

A member of the pastel - or candy colors - menu, mint green is a very light shade of green and is thus classified as one of the colors that, along with lilac, light blue and light pink, resemble the shades that color the candies.

Even though it is an open and soft color, image consultant Alana Rodrigues Alves points out that the hue blends very well with the four seasons of the year. “Use this winter and next season without fear, because the pastel colors will come strong, ” says Alana.

As for the effects that this color brings to the look, the consultant explains that mint green "conveys peace, preservation, tranquility, femininity and sweetness." For this reason, the style of each production will depend on the choice of shades of the rest of the look, as well as accessories, make and hair.

How to begin?

The tip for those who want to get into fashion trends without risking is always to bet on smaller and more basic items. For those who are not sure how to get started, Alana recommends: “If you're afraid to wear a big piece - like pants, shirt, or blazer - a good start is to bet on accessories such as necklaces, pashiminas, scarves, bags, belts, or in a beautiful knit. Knitting with the color of the season always saves the most basic productions. ”

For the boldest, who have no problem investing in an entire piece the color of the moment, the tip is just to pay attention to the part of the body where the mint green will be located. “Because it is a light color and the main point of production, use it wherever you want to draw attention to your body, ” explains Alana. Therefore, women with wide hips or very thick legs should avoid mint green pants, for example, so as not to overload this part of the body.

The versatility of the new trend lies precisely in allowing multiple styles to be constructed of the same color. Therefore, you need to identify what works best for you, how to leverage the pieces you have in your wardrobe, and especially what is the way that will make you feel more beautiful and up to date with fashion.

Image consultant Alana Rodrigues Alves begins by explaining that the combination of mint green with dark tones, such as black or gray, adds more personality to the look, resulting in a stronger and more striking production. If you still want to use dark tones but prefer to bet on brown, the look will gain a more wintery tone. "Brown reinforces the trend more, since the earthy tones are with everything", adds the consultant. Still following the more closed tones, Alana indicates: "Another color I love to combine with mint green - or any light shade - is caramel, which conveys casualty without losing elegance."

For lighter productions, it is possible to combine it with light colors of the same mint green color or neutral shades such as white, raw and ice, which reinforce the sweet and romantic air. “Already with bright tones, such as magenta, royal blue or yellow, conveys fun, authenticity and chance. It is also possible to combine several shades of green in the same look ”, explains Alana.

In addition to color coordination, the image consultant points out that what will reinforce the image you want to convey is the choice of pieces, modeling, fabrics, textures, hair, make, nail polish and even your posture in various situations.

So if you are a casual, casual woman who bets on street style, Alana indicates that one option is to mix strong tones and sneakers . For fatal women, the consultant recommends a mint green production in a silk shirt combined with skinny jeans and a long black blazer. Fashionable ones can maintain sophistication by assembling caramel, brown and beige looks in tailoring and scarpin pants.

The navy and white striped also blends well with the mint green. If used with a red bag, the color still reinforces the navy trend. "For the most romantic, betting on lace, light tones and sneakers is a good way, " concludes the consultant.
