6 simply macabre and haunted GIFs

Imagine if historical photographs of the past, which already have an ominous feel to it, became even more bizarrely animated? Out-of-body souls, strange creatures, shadows, crows, and many other haunting factors were some of the effects artist and designer Kevin Weir used to give life (or death) to some old images in amazing GIFs.

For work, he took historical portraits and war records from the Library of Congress's online archive, giving them a fantastic look behind the historical scenes. Check it out below.
