8 Things You Don't Know About The Simpsons [video]

You're very likely to be among the people who don't change channels when you're on The Simpsons, and if that's the case, we not only understand why you love this bunch of yellow characters, but also decided to share some superb curiosities about they - we've done it before, but it's never too much.

1 - The origin

The Simpsons didn't start like that right off the bat, like a cartoon. In fact, he was part of a TV show called the Tracey Ullman Show in 1987 and was only two minutes long. As expected, the character traits were completely different from what we see today. The series really went downhill in 1992, and Tracey Ullman's production even sued Fox, demanding to receive part of the profits from the series. They didn't win, of course.

2 - Poor Moe

The hippest pub owner in Springfield is already used to prank calls from Bart. You may not have noticed it, but the boy always dials the same number: 764 843 77. On the telephone keypad, the letters corresponding to these numbers form the word Smithers.

3 - Time

Each episode takes about six months to complete. And if you watched all the episodes at once, sleepless and without commercials, you'd spend 8.5 days with your ass on the couch.

4 - Musically speaking

In 1990, the song “Do the Bartman”, the first one made especially for the series, hit the spot so that it topped the most played in the UK. The lyrics were written with the help of none other than Michael Jackson.

5 - Peter Pan Syndrome

You may have noticed that The Simpsons characters never get old. Otherwise, Bart would have been 34 today - which, by the way, was Margie's age when the drawing debuted.

6 - Tributes

The names of all the characters are a tribute to the family members of the creator of the cartoonist, cartoonist Matt Groening.

7 - The little song

The theme of the series was made by composer Danny Elfman, who took just two days to do the work.

8 - Double personality?

Originally, the bizarre clown Krusty was created to be some kind of Homer's secret identity.
