Amazing animals: World's largest frog can jump up to 3 meters

Conraua goliath is the scientific name for this figure that can be found only in Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea. This giant frog, which weighs about three kilograms, measures about 34 centimeters and by its strong body structure, is able to provide boost for jumps up to three meters high.

A team of German and Cameroonian scientists decided to research this species further to understand, in addition to its behavior, which characteristics could provide all this size. Recently published in the Journal of Natural History, the study points out that because they are extremely fearful amphibians, their correct observation is being greatly impaired.

As the team devises strategies for setting up camera traps to capture real evidence, what is known today from observing where animals live is that these frogs are able to move up to two kilograms of stones to set up their nests and Protect the tadpoles. Perhaps because of this ability (or need), over time, this species has gained more and more strength.

Like many other animals of all fauna, unfortunately this species is in danger of extinction. And right now it is critical that researchers understand their habits and eventually capture them for the sole purpose of keeping them safe and following the breeding process.
