DC Comics released the movie "Shazam" yesterday, but before being a studio star, the character sparked a lot of fighting in the comic book world. Created by Fawcett Comics under the name Captain Marvel in the 1930s, Billy Batson's alter ego even spawned a DC suit for being so much like Superman. After all the confusion, the superhero still ended up in the cast of Justice League owners in the 1970s, creating a friendly rivalry between Shazam and Superman in the comic book world.
