Grandparents and grandchildren change their clothes to show intergenerational shock

Oh, the grandparents ... Who knows knows how delicious it is to be by their side, listening to their stories, experimenting with their recipes, learning how to do things or simply enjoying their company. It is warm, cozy, wonderful. They have different life experiences that can add a lot to our own experience.

However, over time, everything changes between grandchildren and grandparents, from the way they live to the way they dress, so that each has a lot to teach the other. All this change has attracted the attention of Qozop, who lives in Singapore. He was impressed by the clash of generations and decided to do a different experiment.

Through a photo essay, the artist showed the stark difference between these family members. Bringing together grandchildren and grandparents - and grandparents and granddaughters - Qozop portrayed scenes in which they change clothes and positions, all to bring out the cultural change that has happened over the years. The result was very fun and interesting.

The artist's vision

"I have come to the conclusion that while Singapore and much of Asia has been westernized, it is still possible to witness their generational and cultural divisions through the clothes we wear, " Qozop said in an interview with BuzzFeed. The idea of the project was really to show that style can define a person's identity.

"If I had to pick a favorite image, it would be the girl in the blue dress and her grandmother next to a window. Just because this is my own grandmother in the picture." The artist sought to portray with sentiment, as these family photographs tell a lot about an entire generation. And there is no way not to be moved by the images.

"I hope people get from my essay not just a fashion lesson, but an understanding of themselves, " he concluded. Thanks to its reputation abroad, the project has everything to become popular and expand to other countries. It would be really cool if something like that happened here too, portraying the difference between grandparents and Brazilian grandchildren.
