Birthday Bat: Batman turns 75 years old

However, Batman made his first appearance in 1939 - at the hands of Bob Kane and Bill Finger - in issue 27 of the magazine Detective Comics.

The success was so great that only a year later Batman had become the main protagonist of his own comic, and since then he has never been reclusive in his bat cave for a long time. In addition to appearing in comics, the Night's Owner has gained an inseparable companion and has also made appearances in sitcoms, cartoons, anime, games and movies. And despite his age, the character shows no signs of retiring anytime soon.

Over these 75 years, Batman has become the most famous superhero in movies and video games, and to celebrate his birthday, the Batman will have a year with a very busy schedule. To begin with, the character won a special anniversary logo, as well as an exhibition called “Cape / Cowl / Create”, in which 20 artists will present during San Diego's Comic-Con their interpretations of the clothes the hero wears in the new game. Batman: Arkham Knight.

Also, in May Warner will release the original 1966 TV series on DVD, as well as a special edition to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the feature film “Batman” directed by Tim Burton in 1989.
