Canal recreates Aragorn's swords from 'Lord of the Rings' [video]

If you are a big fan of the Lord of the Rings saga, you should know who Narsil and Anduril are. The first is the sword that was used by the Kings of Men and would reach Aragorn, but was eventually destroyed in the battle that King Elendil fought against the evil Sauron - thousands of years before we reached the events shown in “The Society of Ring".

The second - Anduril - is the reinforced Narsil, already during the battles that would take The Fellowship of the Ring to the gates of Mordor. She was reinforced at Rivendell and led by Aragorn to the War of the Ring. It is worth remembering that, like Narsil, it was called “Sword that will be Forged again” and “Sword that was Broken”, with the reference changed to “Reforged Sword” after the elves repaired it.

We tell all this to explain what happens in the video at the top of this news. In it, the AWE channel features a new episode of the series “Man at Arms: Reforged”. This time, they decided to create a sword identical to Narsil - and that goes from the tip of the blade to the guard and the fist. And what did they do seconds after that? They destroyed creation with violent blows.

And why did they do it? So that they could reinforce the sword and then rename it as Anduril. That's right. They just showed us the whole cycle of one of the most important swords in all of Middle-earth. Check out the video and see how hard it was to recreate one of the most iconic pieces in the entire nerd world culture.
