Sandcastles like you've never seen

Remember when you were little and loved to spend hours trying to make the perfect combination of mounds of sand and water to create the largest castle possible? Well, although it is not very beautiful, it guaranteed your joy for several hours.

But what artist Calvin Seibert does is unbelievable. A professional sculptor, he spent his summer at Rockaway Beach, Queens, creating a series of castles and other buildings with precise, modern geometric shapes.

According to Calvin, making sandcastles is a challenge as nature is always against you. He reveals that he never starts with a plan, just a vague notion of what he wants to accomplish, and lets creativity determine the future of each work.
