Cinema, sorry for the lack of time!

I'm a movie lover (well, anyone who has read Push Play posts already knows). However, I have serious problems sitting in front of the television or even leaving home to watch a movie.

The reason is simple: lack of time. Apart from working out, getting home and journey is hard without the option of sitting quietly on the couch with your legs up in the air. The clothes to wash and iron accumulate, the dishes are waiting for a good bath and the broom is there, looking serious at you.

And don't think I live with a disorganized person, on the contrary! Even with the division of tasks, repetitive homework is always there, ready to judge you as you watch a good romantic comedy.

Other than that, time is getting scarcer to do what really matters. Between watching two hours of movie, I currently prefer to dive into a good book, date the hubby or even wander the internet to chat with those far away.

To top it off, I'm addicted to TV series, which leads to a serious dispute: on the one hand, a 30-minute series, basically "encapsulated entertainment." Fast, fun, uncomplicated ... or one-hour episode series, where the ending "catches you, " so you can't stand the anxiety of watching what's coming next week.

On the other hand, a two-hour movie that in some cases deepens existential questions or talks about family and love relationships. Usually a production to digest slowly, with patience and will.

We still have the popcorn movies, those that count just as good fun. Unfortunately, these too stand aside because of the busy routine and tasks we insist on accumulating daily.

All this to say that I am absent and neglectful of the cinema, this my dear companion of all hours. I hope it is just a bad phase in our relationship, something that will pass with a lot of effort and work on my part.

We are currently taking a break. But honestly? I am crazy to return to this beautiful relationship created by years and years of coexistence.
