Google Maps now remembers where you parked your car

No fuss and no official announcement, Google has put a feature on Maps that will make the forgotten forgotten: the app will now remember where you left your car on the street or in a parking lot. That means you no longer have to take a picture of the place to remember where your car was left - yes, we know you do that.

Maps sends notifications over time so you don't forget

The new feature works as follows: Once you park, just open Google Maps and tap a blue button on the map. So far, the feature is only available in the United States and Europe, but we should receive the feature soon here in Brazil.

The place where your vehicle is located is indicated on the map with the letter "P" (from "parking") - here it may be the letter "E". In addition to viewing the tag, you can change the location of the "P" if it is not accurate, as well as add photos and notes to the tag. If this is a scheduled time to leave the car, you can still add a timer.

Once you've marked a location, Maps will send notifications over time so you don't forget where you parked your car. Remember that the feature will only work in the app updated from version 9.49.
