Panstarrs comet will become visible in March

The comet in question is called Panstarrs and was discovered in 2011 in Haleakala, Hawaii. The passage of the celestial body began a few days ago and it is already visible in the northern hemisphere, especially at night. In Brazil, you will be able to see it from March 12, and the best time is right after dark.

The Pantarrs should remain visible for up to half an hour, after which the sky will be too dark to see. In addition, as time goes on, it becomes clearer in the Northeast. However, after 6 pm on March 15, it will completely disappear and can only be found with the use of special equipment.

Single visit

If you miss your chance to check the comet this year, chances are you and all of humanity will never have another chance. This is because the Pantarrs orbit is very large and hyperbole-like, so that the celestial body will move farther and farther away from Earth - the only way it can come back is if any planet changes its path.

If you are in love with comets and want to see more than one, also mark the 28th of November. On this date, the known celestial body Ison will pass close to the sun and should be quite visible and bright.
