Meet the first cloned dog to join the China Police

What would the police force be without the dog smell? Besides being a great companion, a police dog solves cases that no human can handle alone. An example of the efficiency of these animals is 7-year-old female Huahuangma, who was responsible for solving a murder case in China in 2016. Being so special, everyone's best friend at the Pu'er police station in southwestern Yunnan Province of the country, was cloned and gave rise to a small detective who has already started his training.

The clone, the 2-month-old puppy named Kunxun, is the result of an attempt to facilitate and cheapen the training of a police dog in the country. This is because most of the animals chosen for this activity are imported breeds, and their training can take 5 years - to reach the level of Huahuangma - reaching cost to the public coffers $ 290, 000.

Unlike most police dogs, Kunxun and Huahuangma are from the native Kunming werewolf breed. Similar to the German Shepherd, they are usually trained to be rescue dogs and to act with military and fire brigade. The puppy will be trained for about 8 to 10 months before starting to resolve cases. Among the small student "stories" are drug search and rescue, tracking and detection.

Yunnan Agricultural University and biotechnology company Sinogene - the first company to clone pets in China - are responsible for creating the clone. The little "aumiga" was born on December 19th with 23 centimeters and 540 grams, without fear of the dark and fully sociable. Its DNA is 99.9% compatible with China's heroin dog.

Mulan can already retire. Kunxun has taken over the protection of the country!
