Children in China climb 70 meters to get to school

How is your way to work or school? Do you need to use public transportation? Are you going by car, ride, bike, bike? Or go on foot? These children in China are used to going to class in a very dangerous way: they have to climb 70 meters to get to school. All this after traveling the equivalent of 30 km, distance to the site.

The children, average age 10, live in the small village of Zhangjiawan and have no contact with the nearest towns. They are already used to the steep stairs that they have to climb every day. And get down on the way back.

In a video published on BBC Brazil, residents say that the staircase needs to be renewed at least every five years to prevent it from becoming too worn out. Children are accompanied by one family's pet dog, who climbs the steps with them every day. They spend months away from home and away from their parents to study. Check out the following video:
