What if common products were sold by luxury brands?

Can you imagine what it would be like if luxury brands produced the packaging and sold common products like flour, milk, pasta, rice and crackers? Possibly the items would come in amazing packages, made with great care and the most coveted symbols of the world of fashion, beauty and technology.

With that in mind, the Moroccan (but Israeli-based) artist, Paddy Mergui decided to create a series of images with these usual everyday products, but in a totally different outfit, presenting what luxury brands would look like. sell and pack these items.

According to SF Gate, Paddy's work is a way of thinking about the exaggerated appreciation of luxury brands. According to SF's artist interview, what consumers really get when they buy luxury goods is that they are looking for something they don't have in themselves. “But we have to differentiate ourselves, how far does this become a ridiculous and exaggerated concern?” He asks.

Paddy's work is on display at the Museum of Craft and Design in San Francisco until June 15, 2014. Check out the images below.
