This video went viral for hiding a massacre behind a love story

A recent campaign by the New York advertising agency BBDO talked about murder in a surprising way. In the video, we see a boy writing at the library table where he studies that he is bored, and from there, a girl writes to him and the two talk without knowing who the other is, always through the notes left on the table.

The story of the two students talking without knowing each other is so cute that we do not realize that in scenes that take place out of focus of the main characters, there is a student who acts suspiciously and gives signs that he is about to commit a crime. - or at least thinking about that possibility.

This student who appears in the background reads gun magazines, watches sniper videos, points at a teacher as if his hand were a revolver, and even posts a picture on the internet holding a gun.

Shocking

The initiative is from Sandy Hook Promise, an NGO that works to protect children and adolescents from all types of violence. The name of the institution is related to the massacre of the American school Sandy Hook, promoted by Adam Lanza four years ago, which left 26 people dead. Lanza had killed his own mother earlier that day, and then committed suicide.

According to the NGO, 80% of gunmen and 70% of suicides tell their plans to someone before putting them into practice. At the end of the video we see the message that this kind of violence can be prevented when we see the signs.

In the movie, we get so caught up in the story of the two young people that we don't notice the student who shows that he is planning a violent attack. Since it was launched three days ago, the campaign has been viewed more than 2.6 million times by people around the world. Tell us what you think of her.
