Modern exorcists even use smartphone to drive out demons

More than 200 students of theology gathered this Monday (16) for a weeklong course in Rome to learn how to cast out demons. So far, nothing unusual. It turns out that classes also include an almost ubiquitous item in our modern society: the smartphone, which can be used during exorcisms.

This "extension of exorcism" would be a way of fighting a growing horde of evil forces, according to Professor Giuseppe Ferrari, organizer of the Vatican-approved "Exorcism and Prayer of Liberation Course." “The number of exorcisms has definitely increased over the years as requests for exorcism have increased. This course becomes very useful because it prepares priests with a multidisciplinary view of the situation. ”

There are no numbers on this high of cases cited by Ferrari and you still can't know exactly if a gadget session has worked. But if it's to help lower the incidence of Devil worshipers, why not, right?

Course also prepares “helping exorcists” along the lines of “Da Vinci Code”

Exorcism, however, can only be triggered when doctors are unable to explain the behavior of a person considered endemic. And yet it is exclusive to priests and persons with the permission of bishops or special licenses.
