'The Hobbit' fans recreate Erebor with 80,000 LEGO pieces

On the eve of the premiere of the second movie in the saga "The Hobbit, " any news about the trilogy can make fans extremely excited. What you'll see next isn't necessarily something about the second movie or some spoiler, but a job that will make you a little jealous, especially if besides "The Hobbit" you're in love with LEGO.

Two superfans in the series, Blake Baer and Jack Bittner, 17 and 18 respectively, decided to recreate the whole scenario of the series with the famous and beloved LEGO little pieces, even if they needed many bricks.

Imagine a thousand LEGO pieces. It's a lot, isn't it? Now imagine 80 grand. That's how much they both used to recreate the Erebor scenarios you're already used to. The “toy” weighs approximately 90 kg and is over 1.4 m high. How long did it take them to do all this? Nothing less than 400 hours.
