Genetically controlled cattle weighs a ton [video]

Have you heard of a breed of cattle popularly known as Belgian Blue? This breed of "pumped" animals is genetically controlled with the intention of producing specimens with a much larger than normal muscle mass.

Despite the daunting visual effect, there are no laboratory modifications or substances involved. In fact, these animals are bred through selective breeding. This means that over many generations the specimens were handpicked so that only the strongest and largest were crossed.

The selection, however, is so specific that breeders use microscopes to define, in the act of artificial insemination, which sperm is most active. and why this happens? For a cattle to be able to yield the same amount of meat as two cattle, which would generally double the breeders' production - and of course the profit.
