Kindness: Last place in Rotterdam Marathon welcomed

For most amateur runners around the world, a fairly common dream is to participate in at least one marathon in life. The 42, 195-kilometer course is so challenging that, precisely for this reason, it is seen as a kind of “watershed” and metaphor for overcoming obstacles: if you can do that, you can also overcome other difficulties. Until that makes sense, right? After all, taking it all is not for anyone! Even better with fans, don't you think?

Imagine now, dear reader, how a girl named Kelly De Ridder felt who last Sunday participated in the Rotterdam Marathon in the Netherlands and finished last. This is because, surprisingly, as she approached the finish line after more than 6 and a half hours of testing, she was met with a supergent and warm welcome from thousands of spectators, who lavished applause, music and even confetti! Emotion, of course, engulfed Kelly. Also, could! See in detail in the video below:

Kenya's Marius Kimutai and Ethiopia's Meskerem Assefa won the 2017 edition of the Rotterdam Marathon, one of the most important in the world, at 2:06:04 and 2:24:17, respectively.
