Heineken Blade: Meet the beer 'Nespresso' (with capsule and all!)

If you are a fan of a capsule coffee during the week, but don't miss a beer throughout the rest days, Heineken can have a way to bring both tastes together in a very special way. That's because the company decided to create a more portable machine so that the cold one can accompany you anywhere. The difference? Instead of carrying a miniature branded cask back and forth, drinkers now only need a family-size beer refill.

The new design of the Dutch manufacturer, called Blade, is compared right away, incidentally, with the traditional Nespresso. After all, the toy is small, can be placed almost anywhere with a countertop and only asks for a "capsule" that can serve up to 8 liters of draft beer. According to the product publicity video - which you can check out below - the joke is valid for both small businesses and businesses that don't have much to do with alcohol and the consumer.

If you are already mouth-watering and are throwing money on the screen to get one of these machines as soon as possible, get ready for a cold shower. The first sadness is that the toy is only available in some parts of Europe, specifically in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Romania and Austria. Also, the initial edition of the equipment (which is still a kind of prototype) may be too salty for the average drinker: the cost of the game is 500 pounds - or just over $ 2, 150.

It is also interesting to note that, for now, refueling packages - ok, “capsules” - only cover Heineken's original lager and beer from its subsidiary, Birra Moretti. In addition to being one more way to get to where the customer is, Heineken Blade joins the list of out-of-the-box ventures, which often trade multi-million dollar advertising for more creative (and viral) campaigns and initiative to stand out from the competition. So, do you think the device would be successful for these bands?
