Read for free the most famous books from 33 countries

In March, a Reddit user published a different world map: 144 countries were stamping their most famous literary works. Brazil was represented by Machado de Assis, with the classic “Dom Casmurro”. Colombian Gabriel García Márquez, winner of the 1982 Nobel Prize for Literature, is present with “One Hundred Years of Solitude”.

Many of these world classics are already in the public domain, and Universia has made 33 of these works available for free download. Most publications are in Portuguese and in PDF format, which allows reading on smartphones or devices such as Kindle.
