Hot Wheels' largest vertical track is built in Barcelona [video]

When you were a kid, you might have wondered how to make up some amazing gadget, like the ones you were used to seeing in your favorite movies and cartoons, when an initial impulse followed a precise chain of motion so that, for example, a little ball would make a bizarre route and reach the desired point.

And if you've had a collection of Hot Wheels, chances are you've already set up some track full of crazy gambiarras, just for the pleasure of watching your cart's radical ride. These jokes are quite common when you're a kid - although a lot of grown men out there are silly at a toy race track.

The level hard gambiarra you will see next was made in Barcelona during the Spanish Formula 1, as a tribute by Mattel to the event. The idea for the honor included building a vertical track for Hot Wheels, the largest ever made in the world, 200 meters high. The track took 9 hours to assemble and you can see the result in the video below - in Spanish:
