Immerse yourself and discover the deepest pool in the world

Located in Brussels, Belgium, is NEMO 33, the deepest indoor pool in the world. With a maximum depth of 34 meters and an average temperature of 30 ° C, the attraction gathers about 25 thousand divers and curious people annually.

The builder is diver John Beernaerts, who began developing the NEMO 33 project in the early 1990s to simulate real diving environments for beginners and experienced practitioners. In 2004, the pool was opened and the diver realized his dream of recreating the water world for his country, bringing this opportunity for people who cannot travel in search of this experience.

Among the advantages, NEMO 33 has 5 and 10 meter deep stations for inexperienced swimmers. Only professionals can get to the bottom of the pool and experience the feeling of being under the sea. Unlike natural environments, the attraction still features fresh, filtered water, which is kept at a temperature 5 ° C higher than at the bottom of lakes and oceans.

Free of animals that may pose a risk to divers, the pool also has windows to enjoy the attached restaurant and artificially constructed caves to make diving even more interesting.
