Brazil is HEXA, yes: know 5 modalities in which we have won 6 times

The Brazilian national team was eliminated on Friday (6) after losing 2-1 to Belgium, in a match valid for the quarterfinals. Thus, we postponed until 2022 the attempt to become the first six-time football champion country. Is it cause for sadness? It may even be. But how about knowing other modalities in which we are hexa?

1. U21 Men's Beach Volleyball

The world championship has been held annually since 2001 and Brazilian men's doubles have already brought 6 titles home: in 2001, 2003, 2006, 2013, 2016 and 2017. The last winners were Adrielson and Renato, who won gold in the Nanjing championship in China, surpassing a pair from Russia. And look, we're just talking about hexa, because Brazil's under-21 female doubles have already climbed to the top of the podium no less than 8 times!

2. Rafting

The Bozo d'Água team, formed in Brotas (SP), won the sixth world rafting championship in 2016. The city is famous for offering several options of extreme sports and formed the team that played the first championship in 2003 and that, even with very little financial support, ranked third. The first title came in 2007, in South Korea, and hexa came in 2016, in the Open category, in the United Arab Emirates.

3. Women's Futsal

Thinking we're not hex in football? Yes, we are! The futsal girls have won 6 titles in an unbroken string of wins between 2010 and 2015! In 2011, the tournament was held in Fortaleza and had Brazil and Spain in the final. The last title in 2015 was about Russia at the tournament held in Guatemala.

4. Bodyboarding

Carioca Guilherme Tâmega emerged into the world of bodyboarding in 1985, at 13, when he reached the first final in a championship. In 1994 came the first world pipeline championship, surfing 4.5 meter high waves! The sixth championship took place in 2002.

5. Skateboarding

Sandro Dias, Mineirinho, won the World Cup Skateboarding no less than 6 times: continuously between 2003 and 2007, returning to the title of best in his class in 2011.
