The amazing resort in the Bahamas that only welcomes obese visitors

Fat people are not always welcomed in places like beaches and swimming pools. Thinking of pleasing this audience and promoting positive moments of body acceptance, a resort in the Bahamas was made especially for those who do not fit the beauty standards of skinny people and do not feel embarrassed when buying a bikini, for example.

The resort is attractive like most other resorts in the Bahamas, with beautiful beaches and a relaxing, heavenly atmosphere. Its founder, James King, says the idea is to keep guests from being judged when enjoying their stay.

The idea came after King himself witnessed a situation of prejudice with a fat guest. He said that on his first day of work at a resort in Grenada, he saw a young woman joke about sitting on one of the loungers and breaking the furniture. The guest still had to pay for the broken lounge chair.

At the time, King tried to convince the resort owner that they needed to invest in sturdier furniture, but there was no change and so he decided to be the change he wanted to see.

The property was purchased two years ago, and after much work, the site was completely adapted with reinforced furniture and staff trained to treat its visitors very well. Since it was inaugurated, the space has been widely requested.

For King, the cool thing is to allow tourists with similar issues to find themselves in a place where there is no possibility of any embarrassment because of their weight. They are visitors who are comfortable knowing that no one is looking at them with a mocking look and that, moreover, they are more open to making new friends. So, what did you think of this idea?
