The 10 Geekiest Marriages of All Time

Yesterday was Valentine's Day, today is St. Anthony's Day and surely the romantic mood is still in the air, isn't it? And dating leads to marriage (at least some) and for that reason we have separated some of the most geeky (or nerdy) requests of all time.

These are not common requests, but proposals with the themes of games, drawings and electronics. That's right, it's the 10 most geeky marriage proposals of all time.

1. LittleBigProposal

Who plays LittleBigPlanet knows that the game allows the creation of custom levels for those who want to build their own scenarios. And that's what a young Brazilian did to ask for his girlfriend's hand. He reassembled the main moments of their relationship, all to melt the heart of the beloved. At the end of the phase, the "big boss" was a giant bouquet of flowers and the request, which she (thankfully) accepted.

2. iPhone: The Apple of Love

You don't need deep programming skills to make a geek marriage proposal. You just need creativity and willpower. One of the biggest examples is the video we bring here: the boy just modified the covers of his beloved's CDs so she could read "Will you marry me?" On Cover Flow on the iPhone.

3. A movie order

This video has already appeared on our list of the most creative marriage proposals in the world, but it is so well done that it deserves to appear again. One man performed a mega production to create a video that was broadcast at a movie theater in his city. All this to ask for the hand of the beloved in marriage. Thrilled, she accepted without even thinking twice.

4. Super Mario Custom

Another customization, but this involved creating a hack for Super Nintendo's Super Mario World game (in an emulator). One programmer managed to modify the first phase of the game to force his girlfriend to pass an available secret passage. Inside, the coins asked the big question, "Lisa, will you marry me?"

5. Minecraft is also love

One of the biggest fevers of recent times, Minecraft wins fans wherever it goes. And with its many possibilities for personalization, a player decided to place his marriage proposal right there. He created a small train so that his beloved could follow the right course in an incredible setting that would take her to the big moment. It must have been a lot of work, but it was amazing.

6. Passionate Memes

One more that has been on another list of TodaEla, deserves its appearance again. Have you seen this proposal? A young Malaysian named Timothy Tiah has put together several images of internet memes to create an amazing story for his girlfriend. She was in a restaurant with her friends and he made the presentation outside, being seen through the door of the establishment. The idea worked and the two are expected to get married in July this year.

7. Skyrim in the first dance

Although our list is dedicated to marriage proposals, this video deserves to be here. One couple took the moment of their first dance to honor one of their favorite games: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. For this, the two danced the song Dragonborn Comes, one of the best known in the game.

8. A true Pokémon Master

What would you do to melt the heart of your better half? A young American took advantage of ComicCon in New York to organize a flash mob to place the big order. He gathered a group of people to dance and distract his girlfriend while dressing Ash Ketchum and taking the request ring, which was in a Pokeball.

9. Spider-Man Holds His Beloved in the Web

Imagine that you are a helpless girl surrounded by cruel and bloodthirsty bandits. Who can defend you? No, let's not call Chapolin Colorado, but Spider-Man. At least that's what this boy did, who found an innovative way to propose to his girlfriend. Of course, the bad guys are his friends, but the idea was fun nonetheless.

10. LEGO Stop Motion

Note the tip: Recreating moments is a great idea when asking for someone's hand in marriage. One man decided to follow this advice and set up in detail the first encounters he had with his girlfriend. For that, he used several LEGO pieces and put together a very fun stop-motion video. Another happy ending to our list.
