Coolest Helmets at Sochi Winter Olympics [gallery]

The Sochi Olympics have just completed an intense week of competition. After seeing so many attractions in the midst of ice and snow, we are already familiar with some modalities that are not so common for us Brazilians, who are used to much higher temperatures than those prevailing in the Russian winter.

And skeleton is one of those traditional winter sports. Similar to luge, skeleton is a sport where athletes descend at speed on an ice rink with the help of a small sled. And as they lie down, the helmet ends up being the equipment that most stands out among athletes.

In addition to a wide variety of colors, personalized helmets with the most varied designs caught the attention of international media. These are skulls, animals, brains and many other images that allow athletes to give a personal touch to their uniform and gain prominence on the track.
